With a ton of originality, and plenty of cool upgrades along the way, this 1976 ford f-100 explorer is a truly unique total package that's available right now for quite a nice price. Everyone loves the bold look of this factory-correct medium copper. The sheetmetal is exceptionally straight, and so, the first impression this ford is its truly worth the asking price alone. Some of them are nice optional features from the factory like the period-correct swing-out mirrors, explorer hood ornament, sliding rear window, and the cool beige stripe package that gets this attractive pickup even more attention. Plus, this one was upgraded along the way to make it one of the best-looking retro customs around. The windshield visor, top running lights, side steps w/grab handles on the cab, fender flares, and black & chrome grand prix wheels. But more than just look like a retro-style long-hauler, this one still knows how to be a useful pickup. After all, under the vinyl cover is the added utility of the long bed setup. Inside the copper and beige theme continues in what is believed to be a mostly original interior. In fact, the only pieces that we can identify as replaced are fresher carpeting (always a welcomed upgrade) and a cb radio. The 302 cubic-inch v8 looks great under the hood with its big blue block, bright air cleaner, and all those factory-style details. Plus, the glasspack-style dual exhaust gives this v8 a sweet crackle. A truck this nice deserves to be taken out for leisurely drives, and so it also was optioned correctly to be comfortable on the road.

There are new trucks available now that aren't as nicely finished and comfortable as this 1956 ford f-100. There's no denying that the mid-50s ford pickups were some of the best-looking tools ford motor division ever built, and this is the cream of the crop. The cab's aggressive forward-leaning stance is enhanced on this one with a cool lowered suspension. The rest of the curvy bodywork has a classic old pickup look that also manages to be sporty at the same time. Fit and finish are very nice, and not a single ford curve or corner was modified to get this look. Even the original badges on the side of the hood and doors remain in place. They act like pointers to the dazzling new chrome front grille and bumper. While this ford is a show-stopper, don't be surprised if people actually spend more time looking at the rear of this one. That's because it has interesting features such as the rare wraparound big back window and a brand new oak wood bed. The standard bench seat has been replaced with a custom leather setup that provides sculpted seating for the driver and passenger. The same leather is utilized on the headliner and the custom door panels for a very luxurious feel. In fact, this pickup was built with modern comfort in mind with features like power windows, am/fm/cd stereo with bluetooth connection, and r134a air conditioning. But while those keep the passengers happy, this is a true driver's pickup. There is a custom three-spoke steering wheel with ford's famous oval logo in the middle. Beyond that is an upgraded full digital gauge package, and no one can miss that cool lokar gearshift leaver. There's a very good reason this pickup has a clamshell hood like a sports car – its 5. 0-liter ford power sports crate motor can make coupes jealous. It looks fantastic in the engine bay with features like the polished ford racing valve covers, air cleaner, a/c compressor, pulleys, and much more. But beyond its style is some serious substance. Sure this makes some big power and a sweet rumble from the dual exhaust, but this pickup was built to be a great driver, too. A mustang ii-style independent front suspension is a common upgrade on premium pickups, but this one has been enhanced even further with upgraded a-arms and shocks.
